World Team USA Philosophy
"Some people dream of worthy accomplishments,
while others stay awake and do them!''
The Team USA staff goes beyond the call of duty to teach our students the self-respect, confidence, and discipline that we have learned through the practice of martial arts. We believe that in order to service our students properly, all instructors must be totally committed to the martial arts.
We wholeheartedly believe that there is no such thing as a superior style of martial arts and no such thing as having the best martial arts school. If that were the case, everyone would take only one style of martial art and everyone would be attending only one school. Thus, we offer Muay Thai, Brazilian Jiu Jitsu and Mixed Martial Arts only to those whose personality, goals and lifestyle fits with our curriculum at Team USA. We respect every style of martial art in the ring and we offer the Goju-Ryu system of Karate as one of two options for Kids.
At Team USA, students learn that through dedication and perseverance, all worthwhile goals in life are within reach. Students are encouraged to set short, intermediate, and long-term goals. Each level is important for achieving success, not just in the martial arts, but also in everyday life.
We respect that every student has different goals, whether it is to become a World Champion or just to nurture the mind, body and spirit.
We would like to thank you for your interest in our martial arts academy. Joining us could be one of the most rewarding activities for you or your family. Through the years, our unique programs have brought about such dramatic and positive changes in so many people that we are always eager for the opportunity to share them with others.
World Team USA will teach you about your strengths, how to build your confidence, how to relieve your stress and how to find the discipline to reach your goals. Live your dream!
THE RULES FOR BEING HUMAN
- You will receive a body.
You may like it or hate it, but it will beyours for the entire period of this time around.
- You will learn lessons.
You are enrolled in a full-time informal school called Life.
Each day in this school you will have the opportunity to learn lessons.
You may like the lessons or think them irrelevant and stupid.
- There are no mistakes, only lessons.
Growth is a process of trial and error: Experimentation.
The “failed” experiments are as much a part of the process as the experiment that ultimately “works”.
- A lesson is repeated until learned.
A lesson will be presented to you in various forms until you have learned it. When you have learned it, you can go on to the next lesson.
- Learning lessons does not end.
There is no part of life that does not contain its lessons.
If you are alive, there are lessons to be learned.
- “There” is no better than “here”.
When your “there” has become a “here”, you will simply obtain another “there”. That will again look better than “here”.
- Others are merely mirrors of you.
You cannot love or hate something about another person unless it reflects something you love or hate about yourself.
- What you make of your life is up to you.
You have all the tools and resources you need.
What you do with them is up to you.
The choice is yours.
- Your answers lie inside you.
The answers to Life’s questions lie inside you.
All you need to do is look, listen and trust.
- You will forget all this.
- You can remember it whenever you want.
